HKTDC Autumn Mega Tech Events 2025: Where Innovation, Design, and Global Business Connect

HKTDC (Hong Kong Trade Development Council) is once again hosting the Autumn HK Electronics Fair 2025, which remains strong in its 45th year—possibly the oldest among world-class trade shows and electronics expos such as Taiwan Taitronics and CeBIT in Hanover, Germany. It continues to serve as the world’s leading electronics marketplace, connecting China’s global electronics market to the world through Hong Kong. The Autumn HK Electronics Fair 2025 will take place from October 13 to October 16, 2025, at the iconic and grand Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC). Four major technology fairs in October will welcome more than 6,200 exhibitors and stands. The Electronics Fair will highlight AI and robotics, while the Lighting Fair will showcase award-winning designs and world-class project lighting systems. HKTDC will present four major technology exhibitions: the Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition), electronicAsia, the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition), and the Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo, featuring over 6,200 exhibitors from 27 countries and regions.

• The Autumn Electronics Fair focuses on areas such as artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics, featuring a dedicated event space called “RoboPark,” which will showcase robots for commercial, rehabilitation, and residential applications; along with a new exhibition zone, RISE Avenue, highlighting emerging brands.

• The Autumn Lighting Fair will showcase a wide range of award-winning designs, featuring lighting products used in world-renowned projects – including LED drivers and fixtures applied at Gardens by the Bay in Singapore, and lighting control systems implemented at the Sanxingdui Museum, the BBC Headquarters in London, and the M+ Museum. In a policy address on AI and robotics delivered by the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, several initiatives related to artificial intelligence (AI) and technological innovation were proposed. These measures aim to promote AI as a core industry for Hong Kong’s future development. The four major autumn technology fairs align with this policy direction, featuring dedicated exhibition areas and sessions focused on AI, robotics, smart lighting, and digital entertainment. These events provide a platform for the industry to showcase innovative achievements, foster collaboration, and leverage Hong Kong’s role as a global hub to expand into new markets and capture new business opportunities.

The fair will place special emphasis on AI and robotics, the silver economy, and digital entertainment. Members of “Hangzhou’s Six Little Dragons” will be present, including DEEP Robotics, which will showcase the X30 Quadruped Robodog, designed for applications in inspection operations as well as search and rescue missions. BrainCo will present Revo2, a dexterous bionic hand that can serve as a prosthetic. Featuring multiple active joints that simulate the natural movements of a human hand, it enables precise and flexible control. Meanwhile, PaXini Tech, one of “Shenzhen’s Eight Great Guardians of Embodied Intelligence,” will exhibit a humanoid robot equipped with advanced tactile sensing and AI vision, underscoring breakthroughs in perception, decision-making, and execution. The exhibition will also feature a dedicated RoboPark event space, hosting over 30 sessions with speakers from leading robotics companies, including Booster Robotics and Unitree Robotics from Mainland China. Live demonstrations will take place at the venue to illustrate how the latest robotics technologies can be applied across commercial, rehabilitation, and everyday living settings.

In relation to new applications for the Silver Economy, several exhibitors will showcase smart GPS walking canesdesigned specifically for the elderly. These canes integrate advanced features such as real-time GPS tracking, emergency alert systems, and obstacle detection technologies. Another key highlight will be digital entertainment. The Immersive Experience Zone will feature a wide range of interactive entertainment options combining Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and AI, allowing buyers to test and experience various products in an immersive environment.

The main exhibition zone, Hall of Fame, brings together more than 500 world-renowned electronics brands. Among the first-time exhibitors, Japanese brand AIWA will present its smart audio products, while other prominent participants include Chinese company Rapoo Technology, showcasing e-sports computer accessories, and Philips, which will introduce its latest audio gadgets. Another highlight is the Tech Hall, where a new generation of cutting-edge electronic products and modern lifestyle devices will be on display. Supported by funding from the HKSAR Government, the newly added Hong Kong Tech Showcase will present high-quality innovations and technology products from local tech companies to global buyers. Among the approximately 40 participating companies is Hong Kong Robotics Group Holding Ltd., the city’s first smart humanoid robot brand. Meanwhile, the Startup Zone will serve as an interactive platform for young tech entrepreneurs and business leaders to showcase their latest technologies.

The Autumn Electronics Fair will also feature a number of special activities. In addition to RoboPark, where robots will prepare limited-edition coffee, visitors can collect stamps from various locations throughout the exhibition. These stamps can be presented at the gift redemption counter to receive free capsule toys and exciting prizes. Visitors can also claim additional rewards by taking photos or short videos at the fair and sharing them on social media with the hashtag #EFAE45.


The Hong Kong Electronics Forum, co-organized by HKTDC, MMI Asia Pte Ltd, and the Hong Kong Electronic Industries Association, will explore innovative advancements in advanced battery technologies and energy storage. A seminar titled “AI-Powered Monitoring and Smart Inspection in Construction,” jointly organized by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and the Hong Kong Electronic Industries Association, will discuss the contributions of AI research to the construction industry. In addition, financial service providers will also participate in the fair, including virtual bank Fusion Bank and cross-border payment platform Payoneer. They will provide practical insights to exhibitors and SME buyers on digital financial services, marketing strategies, and customer analytics, empowering them to expand globally.

The Hall of Connected Lighting at the Lighting Fair will bring together 60 leading brands. As one of the most globally anticipated events in the lighting industry, the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition) and the Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo this year will be held under the theme “Illuminated Designs for a Smarter Future.” The fairs will feature around 3,000 exhibitors from more than 20 countries and regions, offering a wide variety of lighting products and solutions that blend technology with innovative design. These events not only provide an integrated business platform for the industry but also set market trends, highlighting developments in sustainable technologies, healthy living, and the silver economy.


A highlight zone at the Autumn Lighting Fair, the Hall of Connected Lighting, returns in 2025, bringing together around 60 top-tier brands. These include local brand GRE Alpha, Mainland Chinese companies Foshan Electrical and Lighting and TUYA Smart, as well as international names such as Casambi from Finland, Moorgen from Germany, Koizumi from Japan, and Signify from the Netherlands.

The zone will showcase a variety of award-winning designs and immersive lighting experiences, enabling industry professionals to gain deeper insights into cutting-edge technologies and their applications.

Buyers Enjoy Immersive Lighting Experiences

Exhibitors have carefully designed a variety of settings to provide buyers with hands-on experiences. For example, Casambi has curated an artisan café illuminated and powered by ERCO, a world-renowned architectural and commercial lighting brand, creating a relaxed atmosphere for visitors to interact and exchange ideas. Special sharing sessions will also be hosted in the space by Richard Lu, lighting designer for the Sanxingdui Museum in Sichuan Province; Luis Barahona, senior designer at ERCO; and Eugenia Cheng, founder of LightOrigin Studio.

Lighting Fair Showcases LED Drivers and Global Project Lighting Systems

Many exhibitors at the Lighting Fair have contributed to major global lighting projects. GRE Alpha’s LED drivers have been deployed at Gardens by the Bay in Singapore; Nicolaudie Architectural’s lighting controllers were used in a transnational bridge project connecting Venezuela and Colombia; and Koizumi’s lighting fixtures were installed at Yumeshima Station for the World Expo in Osaka. Meanwhile, Casambi is showcasing its lighting control systems applied at the Sanxingdui Museum, the BBC headquarters in London, and the M+ Museum in Hong Kong—giving buyers the opportunity to gain insights into their project expertise and the latest innovations.

Another highlight of the Autumn Lighting Fair is the Hall of Aurora, which brings together some 540 renowned brands offering high-quality lighting products. They include Prosperity Group and General Lighting from Hong Kong, LEEDARSON, Tospo and Je Woo from Chinese Mainland, Lival from Finland and Megaman from Germany. Other featured zones include Commercial Lighting, Residential Lighting and LED Lighting and LED Essentials.

Outdoor and Tech Light Expo Showcases Smart City Innovations

This year’s Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo will feature a wide range of outdoor, commercial, and industrial lighting products and technologies that support smart city development. The Smart Pole and Solution Zone, introduced last year, will return to highlight innovative solutions that enhance urban planning and optimize energy efficiency.

Unilumin Group from Shenzhen will demonstrate its multi-functional Smart Light Pole, which integrates lighting, Wi-Fi, electric vehicle charging, environmental monitoring, and other public services into a single unit. This innovation helps reduce redundant infrastructure costs, enables data sharing, and enhances the efficiency of urban management.

A series of thematic forums, product launches, and networking events will be held alongside the two lighting fairs. The Innovative Lighting Design Forum, scheduled for 27 October at HKCEC, will focus on two key themes: “Design City．City Design: Lighting Design Connected to Everyday Life” and “Shining RCEP Opportunities Through Cultural Lighting Design.”

Speakers will include representatives from leading international and local companies, alongside architects and lighting designers, who will present top design case studies from around the world and provide insights into emerging market trends. Throughout the exhibition period, a dedicated shuttle bus service will operate between HKCEC in Wan Chai and AsiaWorld-Expo, offering exhibitors and buyers greater convenience in traveling between the two venues for site visits and procurement. The four major technology fairs will once again adopt the hybrid EXHIBITION+ model, seamlessly integrating both online and offline participation. In addition to attending the physical exhibitions, exhibitors and buyers can make use of the AI-powered business matching platform Click2Match for online negotiations and networking opportunities. Industry professionals and buyers worldwide are encouraged to take part.

The online edition of the Autumn Electronics Fair and electronicAsia will run from 6 to 23 October, while the online editions of the Autumn Lighting Fair and the International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo will take place from 20 October to 7 November. This dual-format approach enables businesses to expand their reach and operations seamlessly across both online and offline platforms.

Collaboration, Competition & Highlight of Taiwan & Global  Innovation at Taiwan InnoTech 2024

TAITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development Council) & ITRI with support from 11 Ministries & Government institutions had again successfully organized 20th Taiwan Innotech Expo 2024 (TIE 2024) at Taipei World Trade Centre Exhibition Hall 1 (TWTC Hall1) on 17-19 October 2024. 

Providing a platform not only exhibit the latest inventions and technologies, but also to connect inventors and companies with the international market, as what the Premier (PM) Cho Jung-tai said to enhanced global present for advanced technologies made in Taiwan products & services. TIE presented an opportunity for government bodies to exchange experience with enterprises and research institutions from home and abroad. Taiwan needs to speed up software application development and employ more artificial intelligence technology in the public domain so that innovative technologies bring solutions across all sectors. Focusing on digital and green transformation driven by AI technology, the administration demonstrated technology including that used in recycling of inorganic resources and metal chemicals. Ministry of Environment in the Sustainable pavilion on digital and green transformation driven by AI technology, demonstrated technology including that used in recycling of inorganic resources and metal chemicals. 

Taiwan’s booming democracy and economy have developed rapidly in fields such as semiconductors and AI (artificial intelligence), becoming an indispensable part of the world’s industrial ecological chain. The world’s need for Taiwan is increasing day by day, making Taiwan increasingly important. Therefore, the government has important responsibility and must use greater power to maintain peace and stable development of the overall society.

In the Future Tech pavilion: Ministry of Education were awarded the Future Tech Award for deep space radiation probe to explore the lunar and astronomic environment developed by National Central University in Taoyuan City. Also AI application in Earth Quake & Disaster mitigation and Net Zero solution.

TIE 2024 features a variety of areas such as the Invention Competition Area, in which Pertamina participated in full team, The Innovation Pilot Pavilion including Defence Technology, Future Tech Pavilion including Generative AI & Quantum Technology, while Sustainability Pavilion includes Net Zero tech. There are more than 400 exhibitors from 22 countries participating this year, using 1,200 booths to display over a thousands invention in diverse fields such as AI, 5G, ICT, Semiconductors, Clean energy,  cybersecurity, space technology and more.

There are so many application of AI including Robot Dog AI for sniffing dangerous area and Implementation and operation of innovative technologies such as value enforcement, cognitive robotic systems and intelligent robot inspection dogs, especially used in disaster and dangerous area not safe for human.  Advanced AI Application such as AI Autonomous drone for Surveillance and Autonomous Vehicle display in the Future and Generative AI Pavilion.

In the Invention competition area, we can see how Taiwan successfully promote its Start-up to go Global by the Taiwan Intellectual Property Office (TIPO), since IPR is vital for the high and advanced technology to honour innovation. TIPO held global invention competition every year to select innovative works with commercial potential, presenting the platinum, gold, silver and bronze awards to the inventors globally to encourage cross industry and cross-country cooperation. This year there are 150 exhibitors and nearly 600 inventions participating in the Invention competition Area including Indonesian, Pertamina start up teams.

The Opening Ceremony to mark the 20th TIE was open with keynote from Ministry of Economics & Trade and Premier (PM) Cho Jung Tai with 10 cabinet ministers.

Premier Cho also said that Taiwan’s high-tech industry is developing very rapidly, but the government will not only focus on high-tech industry and ignore all traditional industries and small, medium and micro enterprises.

The National Development Commission had submitted a report on the ‘National Talent Competitiveness Improvement Program’, which projected that by 2028, as many as 450,000 talents across fields, including Generative AI, would be trained.  Taiwan also recruit 120,000 foreign professionals and 80,000 foreign technical personnel. 

Premier Cho adds that the related industry assistance program from the Ministry of Economy helps  all domestic traditional industries as well as small, medium and micro businesses carry out digital transformation, building a more stable and stronger foundation for economic development.

The Opening Ceremony Stage is next to the Defence Technology Pavilion, so after the Opening Ceremony, all guest of honour visited the Defence Pavilion and was briefed by Mayor General Li Jian Qing and Vice Admiral Yu Min Huang, Deputy Minister of National Défense  on the Defence Technology and Industry of Taiwan.    

Interesting Panel Discussion titled “The Coming Quantum Era Opportunities for the Deployment of Taiwan’s Industries” inviting keynote speech by the Nobel Prize in Physics 2022, the Father of Quantum Research Alain Aspect, Professor Universite Paris Saclay, who admired Albert Einstein with its Relativity Theory and Quantum Physics before the Cold War.  With distinguished panellist from all over the world including: Tokyo University of Science l Jaw-Shen Tsai, Professor;  Hon Hai Research Institute l Hsieh, Min-Hsiu, Director of the Quantum Computing Research Institute; Compal Electronics, Inc. l Shikuan Chen, SVP; IQM l Juha Vartiainen, Co-Founder and Chief of Global Affairs; Quandela l Niccolo Somaschi, CEO/co-founder;  Pasqal l Georges-Olivier Reymond, CEO. Most of the panellist from academia & industries agree that Quantum Computing its still in the research stage preparing for a breakthru to be the fastest supercomputer. Benchmarking with NVIDIA Supercomputer using the GPU Superchips that has gone commercial, receiving order from Meta, Google, OpenAI for their Generative AI Computing. But Taiwan Honhai Research Institute on Quantum (Foxconn) also doing jointly research on Quantum Physics  with NVDIA preparing the coming Quantum Leap (Revolution) probably in 5-10 years time.

Interesting discussion on how Taiwan is catching up with Singapore to develop its Quantum Research in par with the advanced Supercomputer developed by NVIDIA for Google, Meta, Microsoft and OpenAI.

Part 1: Consumer Electronics Global Hub & Hongkong Electronics Fair (Autumn)

Jakarta, ABDI – The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) hosted this autumn The Hong Kong Electronics Fair (Autumn Edition) and Electronic Asia on 13-16 October 2024 at the Hongkong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC).

Autumn Electronics Fair spotlights three key areas

The Autumn Electronics Fair and electronicAsia featured 3,200 exhibitors from 19 countries and regions. There are so many products, features and solutions we will highlight some below.

The 44th edition of the Electronics Fair, themed the World’s Leading Electronics Marketplace, covered consumer electronics, including smart products and appliances for home and commercial use, audiovisual equipment and the latest tech solutions across more than 20 zones. 

 There are also many Taiwanese and Korean companies that join the show. Oasistek is among Taiwanese company  that participated in the Taiwan Pavilion. One particular company In the Korean Pavilion that we visited, Himpel design smart ventilation for bathroom, kitchen/pantry and bedroom.

Also interesting is the Metaverse Pavilion with many AI Metaverse related solutions in medical, AI glass, a collaboration between Korean and Hongkong Startup.

TAIWAN INNOTECH 2024 EXPO : Connecting Taiwan and the World in Innovation & Technology Collaboration

Taiwan InnoTech 2024 Expo, jointly organized by Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), and the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) as host along with many Government Department and both domestics & global innovators will take place on October 17-19, 2024 at Taiwan World Trade Center Hall 1 (TWTC Hall1) .     DataGovAI 2023 Day 3 : Future Technology & Ecosystems

    Perhelatan 6th DataGovAI 2023 Websummit terbesar untuk Revolution In Data Science, AI & Cybersecurity In Connected World hari ketiga digelar secara online ABDI E-HALL (28/11/2023) dengan mengusung tema “Future Technology & Ecosystems”. Beberapa hal yang dibahas antara lain Future Data Science & AI, SMART & Safe Ecosystems, Digital Economy & Humanity.

    Agenda pertama Day 3  dibuka dengan Welcome Remark dari Ketua Umum ABDI Rudi Rusdiah yang membahas tentang “Technology Tranformation Resilience, Trust Integrity Governance & Future Trend” 

    Keynote pertama dibuka oleh Wakil Menteri Pariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif Angela Herliani Tanoesoedibjo M.Com menyampaikan tentang pentingnya peran teknologi bagi bangsa kita, dampak teknologi terasa di semua aspek kehidupan dari politik, ekonomi, edukasi, dan kehidupan bermasyarakat. Isu yang terbesar yang sedang menjadi perbincangan yaitu bagaimana negara-negara yang bukan pelopor teknologi ini bisa memanfaatkan Big Data, AI, Automation dan semua perkembangan di sektor teknologi untuk kemajuan negara tersebut dan kesejahteraan masyarakatnya. 

    Perkembangan secara inklusif memajukan bangsa dan membuka kesempatan seluas-luasnya untuk masyarakat, dari sisi pariwisata dan ekonomi kreatif banyak expert yang telah mengatakan bahwa Teknologi akan mendorong pertumbuhan pariwisata dan ekonomi kreatif khususnya di subsektor musik, games, film, dan animasi. 

    Dalam kesempatan yang sama Gubernur Sulawesi Barat & Sekretaris BNPP Prof. Dr. Zudan Arif Fakrulloh SH.MH, menjelaskan tentang penyelenggaraan pemerintahan yang kita tahu masyarakat yang ada di Indonesia itu derajat perkembangannya itu berbeda-beda kalau kita menggunakan pendekatan. 

    Masyarakat berkembang mulai masyarakat 1.0 sampai kemudian 5.0 di Indonesia itu hampir semuanya ada, sehingga bagaimana kita mengembangkan teknologi, mengembangkan digitalisasi dalam pemerintahan, menerapkan iot, sampai kemudian bagaimana artificial intelligence kita gunakan dalam pemerintahan kita harus menggunakan dengan sangat bijaksana. 

    “Bagaimana konstelasi dan konfigurasi pemerintahan dengan menggunakan teknologi digitalisasi sampai artificial intelligence, kita melihat perkembangan pemerintahan kemudian di dalam praktek pemerintah Republik Indonesia menerbitkan Perpres 95 Tahun 2018. Bagaimana desain besar digitalisasi hendak dibangun di Indonesia, kita mengembangkan bagaimana regulasinya disiapkan melalui Perpres ini agar pemerintahan bertahap bisa bergerak menuju digital kita membangun pemerintahan yang berdaya saing, berkeadilan, dan yang bermartabat. 38 provinsi dan 514 kabupaten kota sesungguhnya di ibukota kabupaten di kantor-kantor pemerintah itu sudah bisa menggerakkan pemerintahan berbasis digital,” ujarnya.

    Selanjutnya, Deputi Bidang Keamanan Siber dan Siber Perekonomian Slamet Aji Pamungkas Perkembangan lingkungan strategis keamanan cyber global di Indonesia saat ini mencerminkan dinamika yang kompleks dan terus berubah secara global ancaman cyber semakin berkembang dalam hal skala kecerdasan dan juga ketangkasan, negara-negara dan kelompok cyber memiliki kemampuan yang semakin canggih memperlihatkan serangan cyber yang lebih kompleks dan terkoordinasi.

    Di Indonesia pemerintah dan kepentingan teknis memperkuat infrastruktur dan kapasitas keamanan cyber untuk menghadapi ancaman yang berkembang saat ini, BSSN (Badan Siber dan Sandi Negara) memainkan peran sentral dalam merumuskan kebijakan dan strategi keamanan cyber nasional, sama seperti negara lain yang tengah berupaya dalam pemulihan ekonomi global pemerintah Indonesia juga berupaya melakukan percepatan transformasi digital di berbagai sektor, di mana berfokus pada tiga hal : Kesetaraan Akses Digital, Literasi Digital dan Lingkungan Digital.

    Sementara,Rektor Universitas Pertahanan RI Letjen TNI Jonni Mahroza, S.IP., MA.,MSc.,Ph.D menyampaikan terkait Big Data mencakup pengumpulan pengolahan dan analisis data dalam skala yang sangat besar, mencakup baik data terstruktur maupun data tidak terstruktur volume data yang sangat besar ini menantang dan membutuhkan pendekatan analisis khusus, salah satu aspek penting dari Big Data adalah kemampuannya untuk memberikan wawasan yang mendalam dan mendukung pengambilan keputusan dan perumusan strategi yang lebih baik. Karakteristik utama dari Big Data adalah volume jumlah data yang besar, Variety keberagaman jenis data, velocity kecepatan data yang diproduksi dan diolah, dan Veracity keandalan data. Perkembangannya konsep V lainnya seperti value variability dan validity juga semakin diperhitungkan menambah kompleksitas analitas data.

    Selanjutnya, Cyber Security & Privacy Officer (CSPO) Huawei Indonesia Syarbeni menyampaikan tentang Huawei sendiri memiliki framework bagaimana kira mengrespect dan memprotect privacy, bagaiman memastikan compliance dengan regulasi yang berlaku, membangun capabilities dan promosi development. Pada proses strategy framework diterapkan privacy protection objectives for different businnes domains, di antaranya : 

    • Lawfulness, fairness and transparency 
    • Purpose Limitation
    • Data Minimization
    • Storage Limitation
    • Integrity and confidentiality
    • Accuracy
    • Accountability 

    Pada sesi keynote terakhir, Commisioner Data Academy Hasan Shahab menyampaikan tentang AI secara luas didefinisikan sebagai simulasi kecerdasan manusia oleh mesin. Teori dan pengembangan sistem komputer mampu melakukan tugas-tugas yang biasanya membutuhkan kecerdasan manusia. Kecerdasan buatan (AI) adalah salah satu teknologi dengan pertumbuhan tercepat di dunia.

    Pada sesi terakhir, Rektor ITD Adisutjipto & Adjunct Professor POLINEMA Marsekal Pertama TNI Ass.Prof.Dr. Ir. Arwin Datumaya Wahyudi Sumari, S.T.,M.T.,IPU,ASEAN Eng. ACPE menyampaikan terkait artificial intelligence dan cognitive artificial intelligence kita harus memahami bahwa AI salah satu technology strategis yang mulai tren sejak  diangkatnya dalam revolusi industri 4.0 kurang lebih 3 tahun yang lalu dan menjadi tren tahun 2000 hingga tahun 2022, sudah diprediksi bahwa Ai akan berkembang menjadi autonomic system kemudian mendukung untuk pengambilan keputusan secara cerdas dan generative Ai yang sekarang menjadi boom di mana-mana. 

    “AI yang mampu mengcreate sesuatu yang lainnya berdasarkan pengetahuan yang telah miliki. Tahun 2023 lembaga yang sama yaitu gardnerers telah menyampaikan bahwa di tahun 2023 akan ada perkembangan baru disebut dengan Adaptive AI yang mampu beradaptasi dengan perubahan lingkungan dengan cepat,” ungkapnya.

    Dilanjutkan dengan High Level Keynote oleh Plt.Gubernur Lemhannas RI Laksdya TNI Maman Firmansyah yang sekaligus membuka Day 2, ABDI eHall membahas “Geopolitik : Future Of Warfare Technology Cyberspace“ menjelaskan teknologi Perang dan pertahanan cyberspace merupakan faktor penting yang mempengaruhi dinamika geopolitik dunia terlebih teknologi cyber diproyeksikan akan mengalami lompatan teknologi revolusioner sehingga dinilai dapat mendisrupsi doktrin militer dan tata cara pelaksanaan perang. 

    “Hal ini Tentunya relevan dengan kondisi faktual di mana ancaman yang dihadapi berbagai negara termasuk Indonesia salah satunya adalah ancaman perang cyber yang dapat merusak infrastruktur kritikal mengganggu sistem informasi dan komunikasi serta mempengaruhi opini publik,” jelas Plt.Gubernur Lemhannas RI Laksdya TNI Maman Firmansyah.

    Selanjutnya, Dirjen Dukcapil Kemendagri RI Dr. Drs. H. Teguh Setyabudi M.Pd menjelaskan Pada tiap tahunnya dirjen dukcapil merilis dua kali terkait masalah data pendudukan yakni pada tiap semester, pada semester pertama tahun 2023 jumlah penduduk Indonesia sebanyak 279.118.866 Jiwa. ini meningkat dibandingkan dengan jumlah penduduk Indonesia pada semester 2 Tahun 2022 yang sebanyak 277,7 jiwa dan dari jumlah penduduk yang 279,1 juta jiwa tersebut 56,5% terkonsentrasi di pulau Jawa dan kemudian tersebar di berbagai pulau-pulau lainnya, jumlah penduduk laki-laki lebih banyak dibandingkan perempuan dan sebagaimana juga bonus demografi jumlah penduduk usia produktif juga lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan jumlah usia non produktif. 

    Dunia saat ini telah mengalami transformasi besar dalam teknologi digital, yang telah mempengaruhi hampir setiap aspek kehidupan, termasuk data kependudukan. Inovasi seperti Data Science, Kecerdasan Buatan (AI) dan Keamanan Siber telah menjadi elemen kunci dalam evolusi ini dan memiliki dampak yang signifikan pada ekonomi, industri, pasar, dan masyarakat. Data kependudukan merupakan aset berharga yang dimiliki oleh negara kita. Ini mencerminkan masyarakat kita, termasuk jumlah penduduk, komposisi demografis dan berbagai informasi berharga lainnya.

    Komisi 1 DPR RI & Ketua Umum PPK Kosgoro 1957 Dave Akbarshah Fikarno ME, menjelaskan terkait perkembangan artificial intelligence dan regulasinya secara umum AI merujuk pada program komputer yang dirancang untuk meniru kecerdasan manusia termasuk kemampuan mengambil keputusan Logika dan karakteristik kecerdasan lainnya, saat ini AI telah banyak digunakan di berbagai aplikasi seperti Search Engine, Ass Virtual seperti SIRI, Google Assistant dan lainnnya. 

    Selain itu pengembangan AI telah mencapai tingkat yang mengagumkan salah satunya adalah penggunaan dalam kendaraan otonom yang memungkinkan kendaraan melaju dengan sendirinya tanpa campur tangan manusia, selain  penggunaan tersebut AI memiliki potensi besar untuk memajukan bidang-bidang lain seperti bidang pendidikan, kesehatan, industri, perdagangan, ketahanan pangan, reformasi birokrasi. 

    Teknologi kecerdasan buatan atau AI terus dikembangkan para ahli sehingga dapat berkembang dengan pesat, kecerdasan buatan adalah bidang yang memungkinkan komputer melakukan tugas lebih unggul dibanding manusia.

    Ketua Umum ABDI Rudi Rusdiah mengatakan Websummit DataGovAi 2023 menekankan pentingnya Data & AI Governance (Tata Kelola) dimana Pemerintah harus mengawasi industrinya agar AI lebih banyak memberikan manfaat dari pada mudarat.

    “Terkait big data dan cyber security, maraknya data breach dan serangan social engineering yang memanfaatkan email dan Whatsapps dari smartphone misalnya dengan malware apk yang biasanya untuk tujuan komersial menguasai smartphone dan akhirnya mencuri credential password rekening bank,” tutur Rudi.

    Selanjutnya, algorithma kebangsaan juga menjadi penting untuk meredam upaya algoritma sosmed, Facebook, Tiktok yang meningkatkan polarisisasi dan perpecahan terutama menghadapi pesta demokrasi 2024.Aplikasi Generative AI yang akan banyak dibahas diantaranya ChatGPT, autonomous vehicle, dan hacking human.

    “ChatGPT akan mendisrupsi proses belajar mengajar, penulisan karya ilmiah, call center, hingga profesi wartawan,” terang Rudi.

    Sementara autonomous vehicle seperti autonomous weapon dan aplikasi militer bisa mengubah total perang masa depan menjadi perang siber, ruang angkasa darat & AI.

    “Selanjutnya hacking human/meretas otak manusia, karena dimasa mendatang AI lebih mengenal anda daripada anda mengenal diri sendiri,” tuturnya.

    Pada kesempatan tersebut dilaksanakan peluncuran buku ABDI ke-6 dengan judul ”Technology Transformation, Resilience, Trust, Integrity Governance & Future Trend” yang melibatkan 45 penulis, author & co-author dari regulator, industri akademisi di Indonesia, AS, India dan Nepal, setebal  220 halaman selalu Best Seller di Gramedia.

    Jakarta, ABDI – Asosiasi Big Data dan AI (ABDI) kembali menggelar 5th DataGovAI 2022 Websummit terbesar untuk Data Science & AI Technology, Governance & Ecoystems yang menghadirkan banyak pembicara dari instansi pemerintah, pemangku kepentingan, akademisi dari 5 Negara.

    Pada DataGovAI 2022, ABDI meluncurkan buku dengan judul “The Future, Benefit Singularity & Governance of Technology” yang melibatkan banyak penulis dari berbagai ilmu & latar belakang dari 7 negara (Indonesia, Singapore, India, Nepal, Estonia, AS & British Teritory Turks & Caicos Island.

    Acara Websummit DataGovAI 2022 Day1 AMD eHall diawali dengan Welcoming Remark oleh Chairman ABDI (Asosiasi Big data & AI) yang juga Host dari Websummit ABDI DataGovAI 2022 memilih judul Technology for Cyber Resilience facing APT (Advanced Persistence Threat) Attack, mengingat banyaknya serangan yang sangat Persistence atau Gigih dan sangat Advanced memanfaatkan Transformasi Teknologi seperti AI, Big Data, sehingga Cyber Defence dan Resilience harus juga menerapkan strategi Pertahanan berlapis disemua lapisan atau dikenal dengan Defense in Depth (DiD) strategy.

    Selanjutnya, Websummit Day 1 AMD eHall dibuka dengan High level Keynote yang pertama oleh Gubernur Lemhannas RI, Andi Widjajanto MSc tentang Tantangan & Ancaman Siber di era Disrupsi Informasi yang harus diatasi bersama sama oleh Pemerintah, Korporasi dan Akademis. Digambarkan landscape ancaman siber yang luas, serangan yang berasal dari berbagai aktor antara lain, state own actor (dukungan negara), organized crime, teroris siber, internal Threat, hacking dan script kiddies (pemula).

    Metode penetrasi, serangan & exploit adalah bagian dari Advanced Persistence Threat (APT) yaitu gabungan memanfaatkan virus/ malware; phishing dan Social engineering untuk mendapatkan credential & password; web defacing; worms; backdoor untuk mencapai Comand & Control serta pasukan botnet; SQL injection. APT ini telah berhasil membobol banyak situs yang diaga ketat misalnya serangan terhadap situs strategis SingHealth di Singapura, seperti BPJS di Indonesia.

    Selain kategori APT untuk penetrasi situs Pemerintah atau Korporasi, juga terdapat kategori penyebaran Hoax, seperti Deep Fake memanfaatkan AI untuk impersonate/berkedok misalnya saat pidato kepala negara membuat misinformasi dan disinformasi. Kategori ini banyak digunakan saat Pemilihan Umum dengan tujuan Politik identitas untuk memenangkan seorang kandidat, seperti yang teradi saat Pemilu Presiden Trump dan kasus Cambridge Analytica dan Facebook.

    Perlu diperhatikan tahun 2024 merupakan Tahun Pemilu di AS dan Indonesia, sehingga peranan Media Sosial perlu di antisipasi agar tidak terjadi penyalahgunaan algoritma untuk politik identitas dan disinformasi.

    Perjalanan Teknologi dan Disrupsi

    Welcoming Remark dari Host ABDI menjelaskan tentang Perjalanan Teknologi Transformasi hingga AI & Metaverse. Teknologi Transformasi & Disrupsi datang & pergi bergantian,dimana teknologi baru menggantiikan yang lama, karena teknologi yang baru masih di dukung oleh teknologi lama  dan teknologi yang baru terbukti lebih unggul & efisien daripada teknologi yang sebelumnya. Big Data & Data Science lahir karena beberapa factor antara lain: (1) Hadirnya Connectivity Data & Cyber sehingga data menjadi ubiquitous dapat diakses oleh semua yang ada dalam network; (2) CPU yang semakin cepat & PC ubiquitous dimana mana, mendorong data menjadi semakin massif dan lahirlah Big data & Algoritma Data Analytics.

    AI kemudian melanjutkan era Teknologi Big data, karena AI membutuhkan Big data, Connectivity, Cyberspace dan CPU untuk proses Algoritma Machine Learning, seperti aplikasi FaceBook, Waze di dalam Smartphone kita.  Gadget yang mengaugmented kemampuan panca indra, tangan, kaki, otak kita, sehingga ketika Smartphone kita tertinggal dirumah, maka kita kebingungan karena sebagian memory kita, nomor telepon, rekening dan lainnya ada di Smartphone.

    Perlu disadari, bahwa otak manusia hanya bisa tumbuh linear dan memiliki keterbatasan untuk belajar dan menyimpan data, informasi serta knowledge dalam otak kita. Namun, sebuah gadget atau komputer dapat tumbuh eksponensial, karena informasi dan data dapat di entry hanya dengan melakukan downloading data yang sangat cepat dan kapasitas memory dapat ditambahkan sesuai kebutuhan.

    Sehingga manusia semakin tergantung dengan gadget yang dimilikinya, yang mana disebut sebagai M2M atau Man to Machine Connectivity atau Communication. Sebuah era Augmented Teknologi/ Gadget & Apps menuju Metaverse.

    Winter is Here Now & Challenge G20 4C

    Pada Bali Yearly Meeting IMF-World Bank (2018), Presiden Jokowi sudah khawatir terhadap peningkatan risiko & ketidak pastian global serta Gap negara North-South yang kian lebar dan Siklus krisis 1998, 2008 & 2018. Analogi Jokowi tentang Situasi kondisi krisis hingga tataran dunia, seperti yang digambarkan oleh Film Game of Thrones dengan tagline Winter is Coming. 

    Pada tahun 2022, Indonesia menjadi Host dan Chair Presidensi G20 yang mana menjadi sebuah kesempatan memimpin dunia, yang diikuti Eskalasi Perang dagang di Asia dengan aktor-nya AS & China. Selain itu, juga terjadi Perang Proxy di Ukraina dengan Aktor-nya Rusia-Ukraina, NATO & AS, sehingga Dunia & G20 menghadapi tantangan besar global 4C yaitu Conflict (Warfare di Asia dan Eropa), Crisis (Energy, Food & Gap Daya Beli), Climate Change & Covid 19 Pandemi yang kini menjadi “Winter is Here Now”. Dalam hal ini, kita semua di dunia harus memiliki Sense of Crisis &Teknologi Digital sebuah solusi menjadi sesuatu keniscayaan (inevitability).

    Mengapa? Mengacu pada laporan WB, IMF & Jeffrey Sachs di G20 Bali memprediksi ada lebih dari 60 negara yang terancam ambruk atau bisa gagal (Crisis or Failed Nation).

    Covid 19 Pandemi akselerasi digital transformasi, Opportunity & vulnerability

    Protocol Covid Pandemi sejak Feb 2021, memaksa manusia di dunia melakukan WfH & Sosial Distancing, sehingga Bisnis eCommerce, Food Delivery, Kesehatan, IT, Zoom Meeting, Elearning   menjadi booming, karena banyak Kantor, Mall & Pertokoan yang tutup atau harus menjalankan protocol Social Distancing (Livelihood crisis).

    Namun disisi lain, para Hackers juga manfaatkan kondisi disruptif ini dengan melakukan serangan (exploit) kerentanan (vulnerability) yang ada, misalnya karyawan kantor yang harus  bekerja dari luar perimeter Firewall Enterprise dirumah atau WfH (Work from Home). 

    Preview melihat masifnya kerugian Global Data Breach menjadi salah satu alasan focus Welcoming Remark pada Teknology Cyber Security & Data Breach Prevention.

    Day 1 fokus Teknology Data & Cyber Security

    Mengapa Welcoming Address ABDI pada Websummit Day 1 AMD eHall berfokus pada Teknology Data & Cyber Security?

    Sejalan dengan pidato Presiden Joko Widodo dalam HUT RI tahun 2019 berpesan bahwa “Kita harus selalu waspada terhadap ancaman Siber & penyalah gunaan data pribadi” ditambahkan “Kita harus jaga kedaulatan data Indonesia. Hak data pribadi rakyat harus dilindungi & tidak boleh berkompromi”. Pesan ini menjadi cikal bakal lahirnya UU 27/2022 tentang PDP setelah diakselerasi oleh Byorka yang mengaku telah membobol (data breach) dan menjual data sebesar 1 miliar lebih di DarkWeb. Perlu diingat, bahwa para Hackers & Adversary selalu mencoba dengan gigih (APT) untuk mencari semua peluang dan mencari Weakest links atau Loop holes (Titik Paling Lemah dan (Titik paling rentan) In your System (Low Hanging Fruit).

    Case Study: Data Breach Terbesar & Massive APT Attack SingHealth              

    SingHealth APT (Advanced Persistent Threat) atau Serangan yang Gigih & Sabar diawali dengan Spear Phishing & Social Engineer untuk mengawali membobol sistem via front-end staff PC di SGH (Singapore General Hospital) pada tanggal 23 Aug 2017.

    Setelah Tim awal APT berhasil masuk, maka dilakukan proses distribusi malware diseluruh pelosok internal system sambil bersembunyi & berkeliaran (moved laterally), mulai mencari target data mining & vulnerability didalam system sambil menghindari deteksi (stealth) selama kurun waktu satu Tahun berdiam didalam system dari 23/8/2017 hingga 11/7/2018-APT. Kesempatan digunakan saat EMR (Electronics Medical Records) pada Cytrix Server di SGH akan dimigrasi ke H-Clouds pada Juni 2017.

    Sekarang SCM Client application, Database & Security Servers sudah brerada H-Cloud dengan koneksi yang terbuka dari Citrix Server Farm di SGH SCM Database server di H–Clouds dimana semakin meningkatkan vulnerability. Penyusup (APTAdversaries) berhasil mengakses H Cloud Citrix Server melalui SCM DB (stealing credential).

    Antara Desember 2017 hingga May 2018 tim penyusup APT bergerak lateral sideways didalam SingHealth network systems, memanfaatkan malware untuk menguasai PC & remote access ke Command & Control. Attacker menggunakan compromised PC & Citrix local admin accont untuk remote login to Citrix Servers in SGH. Mencuri credential, ID, password untuk access EMR Database & data jutaan pasien termasuk data kesehatan PM Singapura.

    Kemudian merencanakan Exit strategy yaitu dengan Menghapus Jejak & memasang backdoors (pintu masuk re-entry & berkomunikasi dengan C&C untuk ekspor data breach keluar system perimeter SingHealth.

    DB Admin IHiS mengetahui terjadi data breach pada 4 Juli 2018 & berusaha untuk melakukan mitigasi menutup dan menghentikan data breach & APT attack (ZeroDay). Setelah kejadian tim Forensic investigation menemukan call back ke overseas C&C Server & APT group di Dark Web. Terbukti SCM DB telah di compromised dan dibobol (Breach) dari tanggal 26 Juni hingga 4 July 4 menjalankan Bulk SQL queries dari SGH Citrix Server ke SCM Data base Server melalui Open Network Connection.

    SCM tergolong CII (Critical information infrastruktur atau Vital) & insiden Kategori 1dibawah NCIRF (National Cancer Institute System for Radiography & Fluoroscopy) yang memerlukan Verbal reporting kepada CSA (Cyber Security Agency) Singapura dalam waktu 2 jam setelah diketahui (Zero days).

    Sebuah serangan yang massif dan bertahan 1 tahun dorman didalam system yang menjadi contoh bagaimana persistent nya sebuah serangan APT yang tentu saja dilakukan oleh tim hacker atau Cyber army mungkin saja State Sponsor.

    Perhelatan 5th DataGovAI 2022 Websummit terbesar untuk Data Science & AI Technology, Governance & Ecoystems, yang diselenggarakan Asosiasi Big Data dan AI (ABDI) menghadirkan banyak pembicara dari instansi pemerintah, pemangku kepentingan, akademisi dari 5 Negara usai berakhirnya G20 Indonesia Presidency & Host di Bali.  Pada hari Kedua (24/11/22) , BliBli eHall, ABDI mengusung sub tema khusus yakni “Data Governance & Regulation” fokus pada Enterprise Data Security & Data Privacy Protection, Risk Management, Govtech & Regtech“, yang dilaksanakan pukul 13.00 – 17.00 WIB bagian dari tema besar “INTEROPABILITY, INTEGRITY & TRUST OF DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY TOWARDS FUTURE ECONOMY RECOVERY & METAVERSE.
